“I can’t Believe how Low this Offer is” face
Not all first offers are what you are expecting, but that does not mean that the offer cannot be negotiated to an acceptable level.
Don’t prejudge or dismiss any qualified Buyer; – and don’t try to guess what’s on their mind. Just write your counter and see what happens.
Not too long ago in a competitive multiple-offer situation, during the first week of the Sale, my Seller received 3 full price offers, one 3% less than full price, and one 10% under the List Price. After countering all offers, the winning & highest-priced offer was from the Buyer who had offered the lowest amount going into the deal.
